Last Saturday 13th May the group of incoming Erasmus + students that have been attending their 2017 spring semester at ESDIR went on a trip to visit Yuso and Suso Monasteries in San Millán de la Cogolla and then Haro.
Yuso Monastery was built in the 11th c. and rebuilt from the 16th to 18th c. We visited the church, the sacristy, the cloister, and the collection of musical codexes that are a treasure like the two silver chests with the relics and San Millán and San Felices and several ivory pieces. The first words in Castilian and Basque were found in this monastery. As for Haro, we visited the main square and the old quarter, to finish our trip visiting the Winery district, in particular the pavillion designed by architect Zaha Hadid for Boegas Tondonia.
It was a beatiful day that we hope will remain in the Erasmus students’ memories forever.
