The second Workshop Week at ESDIR took place from 21st to 25th March. The fact of having a second edition of our Workshop Week after such a long time has been a real encouragement for our daily work and a boost of energy for our participating students and teachers.
It was a pleasure to host Melanie McClintock (College for creative studies, USA), Costas Mantzalos (Frederick University, Cyprus), Jürgen Doom (LUCA School of Arts, Belgium), Katarzyna Zawistowska (Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Poland), Christophe Poot (ESA Saint-Luc Bruxelles, Belgium) and Paulina Buźniak (Art Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland). We are really grateful for their visit and for their generosity in the workshops.
The idea of mixing students from different fields and backgrounds is a challenge from which they have obtained a great learning experience. Students had the chance to work on different fields from their own, to meet new classmates and to learn from different teaching methodologies. Given the current world situation we cannot think about a better scenario than a working and learning community respectful to others regardless the differences.
Looking forward to the third edition!
