La pasada semana Blanca Cabrera y Beatriz Fernández disfrutaron de un intercambio Erasmus+ con la School of Art & Design de la Guangdong University of Technology, en Guangzhou, China.
Recibidas por Deng Li, la Jefa de la Oficina de Intercambio y Cooperación Internacional; Tang Xiaoying, Vicedecana de la School of Art & Design; Lu Xinyan y Zhou Xuanxuan, Directoras del Departamento de Diseño de Moda; Zhang Li, Profesora del Departamento de Diseño de Producto; y Enrique Aparisi, profesor invitado; en un interesante encuentro en el que se fortalecieron los vínculos y se propusieron nuevas vías de colaboración.
Cinco días de intensa interculturalidad aprovechados para impartir tres talleres: sobre Metodología de diseño en la especialidad de Diseño de Moda, sobre La creación de formas con plegados en Diseño de Moda y Producto; y sobre Sistemas y elementos de unión en Diseño de Producto. Además el jueves participaron en dos conferencias para dar a conocer nuestro centro y la especialidad de moda, y para compartir con la GDUT el proyecto Download OpenDesign, a través del que se impulsó el intercambio entre ambas instituciones y se promovieron las becas Erasmus desde 2017.

Erasmus+ in China, an opportunity for intercultural exchange
Last week Blanca Cabrera and Beatriz Fernández enjoyed an Erasmus+ exchange with the School of Art & Design of the Guangdong University of Technology, in Guangzhou, China.
They were received by Deng Li, the Head of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office; Tang Xiaoying, Vice Dean of the School of Art & Design; Lu Xinyan and Zhou Xuanxuan, Directors of the Fashion Design Department; Zhang Li, Professor of the Department of Product Design; and Enrique Aparisi, visiting professor; in a meeting in which links were strengthened and were proposed new ways of collaboration.
Five days of intense interculturality made visible in three workshops: on Design Methodology in the Fashion Design specialty, on The creation of forms with folds in Fashion and Product Design; and on Systems and joining elements in Product Design. In addition, on Thursday they participated in two public lectures to inform about our center and the fashion specialty, and to share the Download OpenDesign project with the GDUT, through which the exchange between both institutions was promoted and Erasmus scholarships were encouraged since 2017.
